In remembrance of all those who lost their lives in yesterday’s attack on Kabul University and in solidarity with the victim’s families, Afghanistan’s flag will remain on half-mast at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Rome today.

Wajiha Qaizadah, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Rome has recently met with Ms. Daniela Rotondaro – Ambassador of Republic of San Marino, Ms. Esti Andayani – Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, and Mr. Carmel Vassallo – Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Rome – Italy, and exchanged views on the Afghan peace process and the country’s fundamental priorities in these talks.
While emphasizing on the enhancement of the bilateral cooperation with these countries, Ms. Qazizada has desired their support for Afghanistan’s stance on the ongoing peace talks.
Ms. Wajiha Qazizadah, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Rome, participated in UNIDROIT’s conference of “Celebrating 25th Anniversary of 1995 Convention on Stolen or Illegally Exported Cultural Objects”.
The contracting states in this conference emphasized the importance of preserving cultural objects, and discussed the prevention of their illegal exports.

On the sideline of the conference, Ms. Qaizadah met with Professor Ignacio Tirado, Secretary General of UNIDROIT, to discuss enhancing relations between Afghanistan and the Institute.

Ms. Wajiha Qazizadah, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan in Rome, met with H.E. Margaret Twomey, Australian Ambassador to Rome.

The two sides discussed and exchanged views on the latest improvements of the Afghan peace process, as well as on development of friendly relations between the two nations.

 

Ms. Wajiha Qazizadah, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Rome, met this morning with Dr. Lawrence Banks ― Director General ― and Ms. Marianna Maculan, chief of external relations & board secretary of the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Rome.

The two sides in the meeting discussed the activities and achievements of the organization, the new avenues of cooperation and the possibility to provide Afghans with research opportunities and further studies in the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology.
