The Embassy and Mission of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Rome extends its warmest Eid al-Adha – the feast of victory in obeying the command of Allah and practicing principles of sacrifice, commitment and trust – greetings to everyone, specially to all the Afghans living in Italy, and wishes them all happy and propserous Eid days.
Today, H.E. Ambassador Khaled Ahmad Zekriya had a fruitful meeting with Ambassador Yousef Juhail, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to FAO, IFAD, WFP, and the Technical Advisor to their Permanent Representative Mission, Mr. Salahuddin Al Bazzaz. Both sides talked about IFAD's upcoming presidency election and further cooperation between the two missions here in Rome.

The Embassy and its consulate section will resume services on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022.

Please be informed that the Embassy & Mission of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and its Consulate Section in Rome, will be closed on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, due to Republic Day in Italy. The Embassy and Consulate will resume services on Friday, June 3rd 2022.
On December 21st, Ambassador of the IRoA, Khaled A. Zekriya had a fruitful meeting with President of the Foreign Affairs Commission at the Chamber of Deputies, H.E. Piero Fassino. The two discussed the upcoming projects and issues on the ground in Afghanistan, particularly the plight of women activists and protestors as well as the path towards formation of an inclusive and representative government, that would guarantee permanent peace, security and freedom for every Afghan in the country.
